Houses Without Doors is an intimate chronicle of the survival of a Syrian-Armenian family in Aleppo between 2011 and 2014. Filming from the balcony of his family’s apartment, director Avo Kaprealian documents the transformation of his city into a battleground, creating a powerful portrait of everyday life in the midst of war.
Keimena, a documenta 14 Film Program on ERT2, airs Mondays at midnight from December 19, 2016 to September 18, 2017. Each film can be viewed during the broadcast and streamed on demand for seven days thereafter.
