Wutharr, Saltwater Dreams, 2016, Australia, 27 min.
Director: Karrabing Film Collective

Wutharr, Saltwater Dreams by Karrabing Film Collective tells the true story of an indigenous Australian family who become stranded in the outback after their boat breaks down. As they consider the roles played in their situation by the ancestral present, the regulatory state, and the Christian faith, they explore the demands and difficulties of indigenous life in twenty-first-century Australia.

Keimena, a documenta 14 Film Program on ERT2, airs Mondays at midnight from December 19, 2016 to September 18, 2017. Each film can be viewed during the broadcast and streamed on demand for seven days thereafter.
