Director: Alanis Obomsawin

Kanehsatake: 270 Years of Resistance documents the resistance of an Indigenous community in Canada against the infringement of its land rights. When a land development for a golf course threatens to disturb traditional burial grounds, residents form a line in front of the construction crews. The confrontation escalates, leading to a bitter 78-day standoff with the Canadian police and army.

Keimena, a documenta 14 Film Program on ERT2, airs Mondays at midnight from December 19, 2016 to September 18, 2017. Each film can be viewed during the broadcast and streamed on demand for seven days thereafter. Please note that the films are presented in their original language with Greek subtitles, and can be streamed from within Greece only.
